Actor Zach Braff has come a long way since his days growing up in New Jersey. Zach managed to make a name for himself starring in the hit US comedy, Scrubs as John “J.D.” Dorian for nine seasons and has since taken to writing, directing and producing a lot of his own material.
In Braff’s most recent movie The High Cost of Living, he plays Henry Welles, a guardian angel who is not all he seems. Talking of the movie Zach said, "I'm a one man promotion machine for that little movie because I'm drawn to great writing. I don't care if it's a tiny indie in Montreal for no money or an Off-Broadway show at a non-profit theatre or a big huge studio movie.”
Braff then continued, “As long as it's something I can relate to and feel I'd be moved by it, that it would entertain me, whether it's a comedy or a drama. I say to myself when I read something, 'Would I want to see this movie?' And that's where I go." Zach Braff has also finished writing a play which is due to play its world-premiere engagement at Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre.
