The latest Superman movie, Man of Steel, is set to hit the big screen next year and the director of Man of Steel, Zack Snyder has been talking a little about the movie. Zack claims that, because of the movie Watchmen, he has been able to make a Superman movie that he really wants.

Snyder explained, “I love making genre movies because genre movies have the potential to be the biggest movie. Watchmen is a crash course on the rules of the why of superheroes, so for me now, to go and do Superman it’s like ‘Ok, I got that, I know why.’”
He added, “Now I can make, I think, a Superman movie that gets at him and makes him relevant and you can care about him and be something that you wanna see and not go ‘That’s a joke, he’s got his glasses on so you can’t recognise him.’”

With that said, it appears that Zack Snyder may be looking for a different way for Clark Kent to hide his Superman secret, rather than just a pair of glasses. Man of Steel will see Henry Cavill in the lead role, with Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Russell Crowe as Jor-El.
Man of Steel is set to be released on June 14, 2013.
