There has been so much talk about the singer Zayn Malik for the past few months now, ever since he revealed that he had decided to quit One Direction back at the start of the year. Since then, there has been plenty of talk about Zayn Malik going on to pursue a solo career in the music industry, with the singer being seen in the recording studio on a number of occasions.
Well now, it has been officially confirmed that Zayn Malik has signed on to a solo record deal with RCA, which has supposedly been in the works for quite a while now. Zayn owes a huge amount to Simon Cowell, who helped the singer in his early X Factor days, and now Simon has revealed just how delighted he is for Malik and his new deal.
Cowell took to his official Twitter account to tell his fans and follower, "We have been working on this for a while and I am pleased to say congratulations to @Zaynmalik on signing with @RCARecords," adding, "I believe they are the perfect label for @ZaynMalik's solo career and I am sure whatever they release together will be special (sic)."
Since making the announcement about his new solo deal, Zayn Malik has told his fans that this was his reason for leaving One Direction, as he wanted to show them the real him with the music he wants to make. It certainly seems like quite a big change from the comments he made about wanting to live like a normal 22-year-old.
Good luck Zayn, you just might need it.
