Zoe Saldana is lined up to star in some very big movie sequels, as she is set to reprise her role as Nyota Uhura in the Star Trek sequel and is also reappearing in James Cameron’s Avatar 2. Zoe took time out of her busy schedule to talk about the Avatar sequel.
Saldana said, "I know Jim is still in the process of writing Avatar 2. I know he's going to protect it in order not to fall into that category of the 'curse of the sequels', where you're going after the same formula or chasing that first high. Zoe added, "He wants to maintain the integrity of the story and allow the characters to dictate what they do next."
It has previously been suggested that James Cameron could be writing both Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 at the same time and that they could both be made back to back. Cameron has also been linked to the World Of Warcraft movie, which is still lingering in development. Zoe Saldana can next be seen in the movie Colombiana, which will be released in the US on August 26 and the UK on September 9.
