There have been quite a few actors and actresses over the years, who have decided to either lose an extreme amount of weight, or put on a lot of weight in order to become more convincing for their movie roles. These stars have been praised for their dedication to their craft but it seems that not all Hollywood stars would be willing to go through that.
Hollywood actress Zoe Saldana has admitted that, while she would not lose weight or gain weight for a movie role, she does have a lot of respect for those who do decide to go through this. Zoe works with Chris Pratt on the movie Guardians of the Galaxy and she has praised Chris for bulking up for his role in the film.
Saldana told Digital Spy, "I don't like to f**k with my body like that. I think it's marvellous when actors do, but I know I don't have it in me to not eat, or to over-eat. I would rather shoot myself in the foot. This is not invalidating what Chris has done, he had to go through the transformation and it was a spiritual thing as well for him, and he looks fantastic."
She added, "I really admire actors like Christian Bale and Jared Leto who go up and down, but they're gifted, and once they're done with that movie they go back and look like who they are. I don't think that would happen to me. I love Shake Shack [a fast food chain] too much, as well!"
You can catch Zoe Saldana and Chris Pratt together in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy, which will open on July 31 in the UK and August 1 in the US.
