Following the announced divorce of Katy Perry and Russell Brand a Twitter trend hastagged #PrayForKaty has started trending much to the outrage of users.
Yesterday Russell Brand announced the divorce citing differences but saying how much he still adores Katy. This New Year’s Eve the trend has started for #PrayForKaty and been ongoing, much to the distfastication of people, a selection of tweets read “#PrayForKaty? She's getting a divorce, she's not a dying kid in Africa. Plus, she's gorgeous and nice, she'll find someone.” A long with the much more cynical “#PrayForKaty What for? The marriage was meant for publicity. Although most celebs look like us, they're actually cold steel robots inside.”.
Katy Perry is yet to release a statement regarding the divorce and nothing is expected until New Years has been ushered in.
