With the F1 Singapore Grand Prix edging ever closer, Sebastian Vettel steadies himself for a sensible drive to retaining his World Championship. Sebastian knows that all he needs to do is finish in the top three in Singapore and he will be crowned 2011 Formula One World Champion.
Vettel explained, “I will need a podium in Singapore to be crowned champion. We will do Singapore like we go step by step in any race. I love the circuit. It is great. We had a tough race there. It is difficult. I may be 112 points ahead in the driver’s championship and I have eight wins this year, I am in a great position to win the title.”
However he did admit that he was not taking anything for granted, “But it is still too early to say anything on the subject. It is all right when you are at the last lap of the last race,” he explained. The F1 Singapore Grand Prix will get underway with practise on Friday, September 23 before finding out who will start where with qualifying on Saturday 24th and finally the race, which could see Sebastian Vettle win the World Championship on Sunday 25th.
