With the global success and popularity of Anime, it is only natural that Hollywood would want to try to cash in on the market, by making live action movie versions of some of the better ones. With plenty being touted for big screen adaptations, here we take a look at some of the more promising projects.
Akira is being lined up for a live action movie

There is no denying that there has been a lot of interest in the potential live action movie adaptation of Akira, which has been in talks for years now. Akira is the most likely to get made into a live action movie and, at one point, Garrett Hedlund and Kristen Stewart were linked to roles in the film. Akira is till in the script writing stages and could be some way off production.

Death Note is another project that has been in talks for years now, with the first mention of a possible Death Note live action movie coming way back in 2008. Iron Man 3 director Shane Black has been linked to the Death Note movie in the past but, much like Akira, Death Note is still struggling for a complete, and exciting script.
Cowboy Bebop is also in talks

Then there was the promise of a Cowboy Bebop live action movie, which first became optioned property in 2008, with a script getting worked on shortly after. Once again though, this script has failed to move forward and we are still awaiting the Cowboy Bebop live action movie.
