There have been quite a few times over the years, where we have seen a television show in the US moving from one network to another and we have no doubt that there will be plenty more in the future. However, while some of the shows have gone on to be well received at their new network, there have been others that have not fared so well and have been cancelled soon after the switch.

American Dad made the switch to TBS
Which brings us to the animated comedy series American Dad, which spent many years over at Fox, before making the switch to TBS just over a month ago. Many people were wondering whether this was a good move for American Dad, with some suggesting that the switch could be the beginning of the end for the show, predicting it would get cancelled in no time at all.
Fortunately though, TBS seem to have been won over by American Dad and have realised what a little gem they have on their hands, with the hit animated series impressing since the move. TBS have been pleased with the 3.1 million gross average viewers and have decided to renew American Dad for a 13th season, which will consist of 22 new episodes and will begin airing later in the year.

American Dad will be back for season 13
We have to admit that we were quite surprised when Fox stalled on renewing American Dad, as we have always felt that the animated series has been a pretty solid show. However, it seems that Fox's loss in TBS gain and the fans get to look forward to American Dad season 13.
American Dad is still brilliant
