So, after months, if not years of waiting for the big Warner Bros. and DC movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to hit the big screen, it has since been and gone and failed to live up to the hype. Many people have been criticising Zack Snyder for ruining what could have been a great film, so they are pleased that he is not the one in charge of the solo projects coming our way.
In all fairness, Ben Affleck was a much better Bruce Wayne aka Batman than most of us thought he was going to be, and the Hollywood star has proven what a talented filmmaker he is in the past, so we look forward to seeing what he can do with the Batman solo movie. With that in mind, there has been plenty of talk about which DC villains we will see him facing in the new project.
While many people have tipped the likes of Margot Robbie to reprise her role as Harley Quinn, or Will Smith to return as Deadshot, some have even suggested Annie Wersching should be cast as Phantasm in the movie. Meanwhile one of the most interesting suggestions we have seen, is having Andy Serkis taking on the role of Dr Kirk Langstrom aka Man-Bat in the Batman movie.
Not only is Andy Serkis a very accomplished actor, but he is also the master of motion capture acting, bringing us fantastic performances in roles such as Gollum and Caesar. This would make Andy perfect for the role of a motion capture Man-Bat and we would love to see him facing off with Batman on the big screen.
Which DC villain would you like to see in the Batman standalone film?
