With the Star Wars: Episode VII movie edging ever closer to production, there have been plenty of rumours about potential former characters returning. One such character is the protocol droid C-3PO and Anthony Daniels has been talking about a possibility of making a return to the role.
Daniels was talking with the Digital Spy guys, when he told them, "Look, it's all very early days and I don't want to wear anybody out by speculating or letting you waste your energy by saying 'What do you think? I'm certainly not sitting by the phone, but it's always nice when it rings. Do you know what I mean?"
He added, "It never occurred to me that it would happen. Everybody's really happy that Disney have taken over the mantle. Kathy Kennedy is so well loved and she is carrying George Lucas's torch so much further."
It has already been confirmed that there will be roles in Star Wars: Episode VII for Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, although it is not yet known how big these roles will be. Star Wars: Episode VII will be directed by J.J. Abrams and is set to be released in 2015.
