It would be understandable if Arnold Schwarzenegger was to regret accepting his role in the box office flop The Last Stand, considering what a flop the movie was. However, Arnold says that he had fun making The Last Stand and claims that his co-star Johnny Knoxville was one of the reasons that he agreed to be in the movie.
Schwarzenegger told Metro, "Just simply a typical kind of Arnold action movie – and this one [The Last Stand] had great chase scenes, action, fight scenes and shoot-outs and it also had some great comic relief and a good story. And when I heard that Johnny Knoxville was in the film… my whole family, my kids, are all big fans of his comedy."
However, Arnold admitted that he has never been tempted to do any Jackass style stunts, adding, "Not at all because, as you know, the stunts work really well when they fail and that’s when people laugh… when Johnny crashes and barely crawls away and is hospitalised. So, I was not about to try that."
Arnold Schwarzenegger might not be the box office draw that he once was but he is still a very busy man. There are currently three movies being written, which Arnold Schwarzenegger will star in, including Terminator 5, The Legend of Conan and the Twins sequel, titled Triplets. Lets hope these are more successful than The Last Stand.
