There has certainly been a big shift in the modelling industry in recent years, with plus-size models now finally getting the recognition they deserve and landing those big modelling gigs that used to only go to the very skinny girls. When it comes to the plus-size models, it is probably fair to say that the beautiful Ashley Graham is leading the way and has become a role model for women all over the world.
Ashley Graham is one of those beautiful women who is very proud of her body and loves the body she lives in but it has not always been that way. Ashley has now taken the time to give some advice to women who are worried about their body, admitting that she has not always been confident herself, but she has learnt how to build that confidence up.
Graham was a guest on the ITV show Lorraine, when she said, "I haven't always felt comfortable in my body wither. And I would look at her [someone uncomfortable in their body] and say 'It's just a moment in your life, and if you want change, it's not a pill that you take, it's not a boyfriend that changes your mind, it's not a family member. It's you.'"
She added, "And I always tell women to get down to your bra and panties and look yourself in the mirror and say ' I love you back fat, you are my best friend. Thighs you are so sexy you can't stop rubbing against each other.' Start talking about the things you don't really love and suddenly your mind changes and you're the one that has to do it. Confidence is in there you just have to find a role model within you."
So there you have it. Be proud of who you are and learn to love the body you have. We all deserve to be happy!
