Bad Santa to become a trilogy

It has been reported that the hit 2003 Christmas movie Bad Santa could become a trilogy. Dimension Films and Miramax, along with the original Bad Santa producers have signed up a number of writers to pen sequels, in the hope that two of them can be used for the trilogy.

Bad Santa starred Billy Bob Thornton as Willie and Tony Cox as Marcus. The two characters would portray Santa and his little helper at department stores during the Christmas period and would then rob the store before the Christmas season is over.
Billy Bob Thornton has previously confirmed that he has been contacted about returning for a Bad Santa sequel and has confirmed that he would be very interested in doing so. Tony Cox has yet to reveal whether or not he will also be returning.
