The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been getting bigger and better every year and, while there was once an issue with the lack of female superheroes in the MCU, Marvel Studios have been working to put that right. We already have the likes of Black Widow, who has already appeared in a number of Marvel movies, as well as the introduction of Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but who else can we expect to see pop up in the future?

Well we already know of one female character in particular, who Marvel are looking to add to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which already has comic fans excited. Marvel will bring us Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel in 2018 and there have been plenty of rumours about which actress will take on the role of the newest Marvel superhero to join the MCU.
While there has not been too much talk about which other female superheroes we will see joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future, there are plenty more to choose from. We could easily see She-Hulk and Valkyrie appearing on the big screen, while Misty Knight and White Tiger could do well with a Netflix series, especially if A.K.A. Jessica Jones proves a hit.

There are plenty more strong female Marvel characters out there, who could do a fantastic job on either the big screen or the small screen and we look forward to seeing more of them being introduced to the Marvel world in the coming years.
