Blink 182 have decided to reschedule the whole of their UK and Ireland tour this summer including the festivals they were due to appear at. The gigs will now be taking place in June and July of 2012 but it is not yet known whether they will appear at next summers festivals.
The reason for the cancellation is said to be due to the fact that they still have work to do on the new album as stated on their official website. It says “It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce our planned 2011 European summer tour has been rescheduled” before adding "When we booked the tour last year, we were confident that we would have the new album out before the summer. Turns out we were mistaken as the album is taking longer than we thought and won't be out till later this year."
The good news is that they will have a lot more new material to play next summer “The three of us are working very hard to do what we set out to do when we re-formed, get a new Blink-182 album recorded.” Let’s just hope the new material lives up to the old songs high standards.
