Bradley Cooper has no beard! The handsome actor known as much for his sensational acting ability as he is for his trademark 'beard or scruff' recently shaved off his beard and has left many of his fans in a state of shock.
The new 'look' was recently spotted on the actor while he was walking around New York City bundled up to stay warm in the cool fall weather. At first for some observers there were questions about whether the photograph was even of him as he has so rarely been seen clean-shaven. He was clothed in a vest and hooded jumper with cargo trousers and New Balance trainers, dark sunglasses and a snap back cap.
Some social media entertainment observers are getting quite the 'chuckle' out of the response from him shaving his face as some of his female fans are responding as if he committed a crime in shaving his beard even though it very likely is due to his upcoming role on Broadway in the play "Elephant Man".
He will play a starring role in the play about Joseph Merrick, a real-life 19th century British Man who became part of a travelling show which focused on his extreme deformities. The character was saved by a renowned doctor who took him under his care and became amazed by the exceptional intelligence possessed by the man known as "The Elephant Man".
The actor revealed on "The Today Show" (Daily Mail Nov. 7) that the story of Joseph Merrick is the reason he wanted to become an actor as he watched the movie made by David Lynch and then when he discovered it was a play he used it for his thesis in grad school.
Now, he will get to recreate the character for fans on Broadway at the Booth Theatre and will do so with a clean-shaven face, a new look which has fans buzzing with anticipation.
