Bridgit Mendler is in the midst of her 2014 Summer Tour during which she has shown that she is an ex-Disney star whom fans should take seriously. One of the biggest challenges for ex-Disney entertainers is for them to demonstrate that they are worthy of being taken seriously as adult performers because people are so accustomed to the images they developed under which is what initially made them famous.

The attractive singer-songwriter showed during a recent performance at the Erie County Fair that she not only can connect with her audience while singing but she is able to do so while not having to be 'outrageous' in the manner of some of her ex-Disney colleagues such as Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez.
During her show Bridgit Mendler played her regular-girl persona to the hilt as she has a very simple presentation of a four-piece band with no backup dancer which puts her in command of the stage which she definitely becomes once she starts singing.

She showed in Erie the impressive singing talent that has resulted in her receiving rave reviews from critics while on tour throughout the United States and Canada. The singer who admitted during past interviews that she improvises everything in her show from the song introductions to the choreography did so at her concert and was very impressive when she improvised at the Erie County Fair whether it be with her interaction with fans or the use of her acting skill set to help her "physically play out the lyrics of her songs" she had the undivided attention of those who watched her.
Bridgit Mendler is a singer who may not attract media attention for her on-stage actions but she has the potential to become a big-time star because she has a good voice and her regular-girl persona is something that actually makes her unique in this era of 'shock the audience' personas that not everyone can relate to.
