There have been many occasions when we have seen or heard of an actor or actress getting injured on the set of a new movie and it looks like British actress Carey Mulligan has now added her name to the list. Carey stars in the new movie Far From the Madding Crowd and she has revealed how she injured herself after falling off a horse while shooting the film.

Mulligan was speaking about the new movie on The Graham Norton Show, when she told the host, "They let me ride a horse and I did have a concussion after coming off. I was genuinely concussed for about six weeks of the filming; there are parts I don't remember!"
She then went on to add, "When we shot the last scene of the film, I came racing round the corner and got thrown off and landed on my head. Ten minutes later, we were filming the big declaration scene and I just dropped to my knees. Matthias (Schoenaerts) thought I was acting and just carried on, and then I slumped over."

As well as starring Carey Mulligan, Far From the Madding Crowd boasts an all-star cast which includes such Hollywood stars as Tom Sturridge, Michael Sheen, and Juno Temple, as well as Matthias Schoenaerts. Far From the Madding Crowd has been directed by Thomas Vinterberg, based on the screenplay that David Nicholls developed from the Thomas Hardy novel, with a release date set for May 1 in both the US and the UK.
