There have been so many different stars over the years, who have made a name for themselves on a hit television series, leading to people to suggest that they are going to go on to have a huge future in Hollywood. While some of these stars do go on to enjoy a hugely successful career in the acting industry, there are others who have not quite gone on to hit the high heights we were expecting from them.
Which brings us to the talented actor Chace Crawford, who rose to stardom in Hollywood playing the role of Nate Archibald in the hit The CW television series Gossip Girl, leading to many to suggest that he had Hollywood leading man potential. While things have not quite gone that way for Chace, he is still working hard in Hollywood and is preparing to start shooting his new project Riptide.
The movie has been in development for a while now and is currently in pre-production, with Riptide being officially described as, "When a biker gang's drug operation is raided by the ATF the gang leader's two sons develop differing views about the gang's future."
While Chace Crawford has a role in Riptide, the rest of the cast for the new movie is equally as impressive, with a mixture of talented stars in the new film, including the likes of Val Kilmer, Henry Thomas, and Mira Sorvino, to name just a few of them. Riptide has been directed by Shaun Hart, who also had a hand in penning the screenplay for the new film along with Jonathan Meyers, with the project expected to go into production later in the year.
