There has been quite a lot of talk surrounding the movie Triple Nine, since it was announced that the movie was being made. Following the confirmation that John Hillcoat (Lawless) was on board to direct the project, a number of different names have been linked to the movie.

Cate Blanchett is in talks
At one point, it looked as though Shia LaBeouf, Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine were going to get cast in Triple Nine but they have all since moved away from the project. Now, three new names are being linked to Triple Nine and, with casting underway, the actors are now in talks for the movie.
Those three stars in talks for roles in Triple Nine are Charlie Hunnam, who will play a cop who gets shot, Christoph Waltz, who is in talks to play his uncle. Meanwhile, Cate Blanchett is in line to play the role of a mobsters wife who is the brains behind the heist.

Christoph Waltz could be in the movie
With the casting for Triple Nine now well underway, production on the movie could start as soon as the end of this year. With that said, we could be looking at a release date of either late in 2014 or early 2015, although no official release date has yet been confirmed.
