For those of you who can't get enough of Charlie Simpson, you'll be seeing a lot of him in 2013. In addition to his second solo album releasing in late 2013, he will also be joining the lineup of the British Summer Time festival, alongside Bon Jovi and Kaiser Chiefs, among many others. The festival will kick off on July 5th in London's Hyde Park.

Charlie Simpson at an event in the UK
Simpson first rose to fame with the BRIT award winning boy band Busted, and but went on to achieve greater prominence as the lead vocalist and guitarist in alternative rock band Fighstar. Many consider Simpson to be one of the few to have made the transition from boy band to rock band smoothly, and his talents are the reason why.
After a couple of successful albums, Fighstar took a hiatus to allow Simpson to focus on his solo career and after the huge success of his first solo album, Simpson is currently working on his second solo album, which is set to release late in 2013. Of course, we have a personal connection to Simpson here at Fansshare, as our very own editor used to frequent Fightstar gigs regularly in the UK. And his fans don't just end there - One Direction's Louis Tomlinson recently encouraged Busted to get back together, admitting to be a huge fan of the band.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Charlie Simpson's new album
Simpson's new single was also rumored to be coming out in May, but there's been no confirmation on that from him or his reps as of now. No doubt, many fans [including everyone here at Fansshare] are waiting for his new album to release, especially now that's been more than a year and a half since the release of Young Pilgrim. In the meantime, you can head to Hyde Park if you can't wait until the end of the year.
