There has been so much talk about sexism in Hollywood over the past few years, as well as there being a lot of talk about ageism in the acting industry, so if you were to be covered by both brackets, then your acting career would surely be as good as over. Well, that has certainly not been the case for one particular Hollywood star.

Charlize Theron has been working in the acting industry for many years now and she has enjoyed a long and successful career along the way. Now, Charlize has been giving her views on the ageism row in Hollywood, claiming that she is working more now than she ever has before.
Theron was chatting to Vanity Fair Italy, when she explained, "The time has come for women to realise that the way we look outside is not the most important thing and it's not true we are worth less when we age. Now that I'm 41 I work much more than 20 years ago, and I enjoy it even more. And all the women I know say the same thing, so it's time to stop this cliché.''

She also gave her views on the talk of their being a gender issue in Hollywood, "I don't agree with that, and I'm not happy to hear people talking like that about Hollywood ... Movies are just the mirror of society; the real problem is there. Hollywood's gender problem is nothing compared to the society's problem," added Theron.
As far as her acting career is concerned, Charlize Theron is expected to next appear on the big screen in the new movie The Last Face, which is due to open some time in 2017.
