Ever since it was announced that a remake of the hit movie Carrie was being made, there has been a lot of promotion around the project. Considering how hugely successful the original movie was, there were hopes that the remake could go on to become a bit of a hit.

Unfortunately though, following the release of Carrie in the US, the film has seriously struggled at the US box office, only managing to gross $17.2m in the US so far. With that said, Carrie can still become a success, with the release of the movie overseas.
The cast and crew recently headed to Japan to promote the release of Carrie over there, where it is clear that Chloe Moretz is a very popular star. Everyone involved in the Carrie remake will be hope that this popularity can have a positive effect on the overseas gross of the movie.
Julianne Moore is also in the film
As well as starring Chloe Moretz, Carrie also stars Julianne Moore, Portia Doubleday and Gabriella Wilde. Carrie will continue to open around the world from now up until January 9, 2014, when it finally hits Italy. Meanwhile, UK fans will get to see Carrie when the movie opens on November 29.
