The entertainment industry really has changed in quite a big way over the past few years, with the improvements and developments in technology really having a huge impact on the business, especially when it comes to social media. Pretty much all of the top stars in the world are on social media these days and it seems that it is almost a requirement for their career to grow.
Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood today but he has admitted that he still needs to keep active on his different social media accounts in order to keep at the top of the industry. Chris says that there is a certain amount of pressure from the big studios these days, which means all actors really do need to keep on top of social media.
Hemsworth was talking to Prestige Hong Kong magazine, when he told them, "I think in this line of work there's a certain requirement from studios nowadays, they realise the impact it can have on the release of a movie and so on. I don't deny that I feel I have to do my part in that sense, and it's a great platform to promote movies and connect with your fans ... But I try to not be on it that much, I do what I need to do to keep it ticking, but I don't place too much importance on it."
It is a very good point that Chris Hemsworth makes and we have to admit that we often turn to their social media accounts to find out what is going on in their life and their career, so keeping active on these pages is definitely important.
