However, it turns out that some people didn’t agree, as twitter was on fire with criticism for Christina’s ‘fuller’ figure, despite her already losing so much weight through Weightwatchers.
Some of the twitter comments included, "Carrie Underwood is what Christina Aguilera thinks she looks like right now. And no one has the heart to tell her "NAWL”, "Christina Aguilera looks like Snooki. No wait, that's an insult to Snooki”, "Did Christina Aguilera eat one of Willy Wonka's blueberries?", “Wtf happened to Aguilera between her new video and the AMA??? Did she eat cee lo?”, and “Was I on Animal Planet watching a hippo dancing? Oh no, it’s just Christina Aguilera on stage at the American Music awards.”

Despite the nature of these vitriolic attacks on her figure, Aguilera was not without her defenders. Some of her supporters on Twitter said, "Christina Aguilera looked gorgeous last night. I love this dress and the diva attitude she is serving!", "Anyone who says Christina Aguilera isnt amazing can leave nearest exit to the left thanks.”, and "New hairstyle and looking gorgeous! Christina Aguilera aka Legendtina Godulara!"
