The Voice is wrapping up its fourth season, and its ratings continue to get higher. However, the panel may face another shake-up because it's been reported that Shakira and Usher are both declining to return for next season. According to reports, Christina Aguilera will be returning to replace Shakira for next season. This doesn't really come as a surprise as both Christina and Cee Lo Green were always tapped to return.

Christina Aguilera will be replacing Shakira on the Voice
Aguilera and Cee Lo Green both left at the end of the third season to pursue their solo music careers, but they were both planning to return for the fifth season. Aguilera will be joining Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and it's all but assured that Cee Lo Green will be taking over Usher's spot as well.
Shakira reportedly wants to leave the show after just one season because she wants to spend more time with her baby and family, especially as her partner Pique already travels so much for Barcelona and football. Usher apparently wants time off because he wants to record another album and he wants time to build his acting career and star in films.

A still from 'The Voice'
'The Voice' continues to remain one of the highest rated reality competition shows on network television, and that's unlikely to change in the future.
