Christine Baranski: The actress with chameleon quality

 

She has that chameleon quality that has helped her transform to fit any role, from Birdcage to Chicago to The Big Bang Theory, where she pops up periodically in cameo’s as Leonard’s over baring, but funny psych mom. Her willingness to reinvent herself to take on different roles and not let herself be stereotyped into the same roll again and again has made her a regular go to for stand out acting opportunities. When The Good Wife came a knocking she did not hesitate to sink her acting chops into a dramatic role different from her previous work.

 

The Good Wife's character she plays has given her the chance to have nuances that border on sticking strictly to the law or skirting its boundaries like an expert trapeze artist. The character Diane often wrestles with her conscience to do what is ethically right or to do what’s in the best interest of her client and all the while balancing it with a right wing attitude that juggles friendships and love life in a delicate fabric that sometimes appears close to shredding.

 

A native of New York Christine has made time for herself, family and friends. She continues to soar to new heights with every job she accepts, she brings out the best in her work through each new character she plays. If asked, she would probably tell you that her favorite role has been mother to her two daughters. Moving forward she appears to be ready for Act III.
