Homeland actress Claire Danes has enjoyed a long and successful career in the acting industry but she has also enjoyed plenty of happiness in her personal life too. Claire is married to Hugh Dancy, with whom she has the two-year old son Cyrus, and the actress has claimed that her husband can sometimes be too British for her.

During a recent interview with Marie Claire magazine, Danes explained, "He is very British. There is irony, which is very nice, and self-deprecation and awareness of one's relationship to others, which translates into politeness, which can be very elaborate and very indirect. Sometimes his politeness is too much for me. 'What are you actually saying, man?'"
She then went on to add, "I love being married to him. He just happens to be English. I can be much more omnivorous and daring in my career if I feel safe. I'm lucky that Hugh and I both want that kind of experience. We are very interested in what it's like to be married and we love each other." Sounds like they have discovered the perfect balance for a happy marriage.

As far as her acting career is concerned, Claire Danes has not appeared on the big screen for a couple of years now, as she continues to focus all her efforts on her television work. Claire continues to play the role of Carrie in the hit television series Homeland, which is now in its fifth season. Homeland season five premiered with a double episode on Showtime, on Sunday, October 4 at 9pm ET/PT.
