When we think about some of the legends of Hollywood, it is probably fair to say that veteran superstar Clint Eastwood is arguably the biggest legend to ever grace the acting industry. So, when you are one of the children of such a huge Hollywood superstar and such a global legend, there is no doubt going to be a very large shadow for you to get out of and prove yourself as an star in your own right.
Well, we all know that Clint Eastwood has a lot of children and one of his daughters, the beautiful Francesca Eastwood, has been working in the acting industry, trying to make a name for herself in Hollywood. Francesca has now been talking about what it is like to be the daughter of such a huge legend of the business, admitting that there have been times when it has almost cost her acting roles.
Eastwood was speaking with The Times newspaper, when she told them, "I loved the story and I really wanted to do it, but some of the producers were like, 'We can't cast Clint Eastwood's kid in a western. That's insane.' I pointed out that it wasn't a western, that it was a family drama, and they came around. I'm so glad they did because it was the first time I thought, 'This is what I want to do with my life.'"
She added, "The types of projects I want to do don't come easy - whether you have a big name or not. It helps you get a reservation at a restaurant and it helps if you want to start working on just anything. But sometimes it works against you. Hopefully, it's all going to come in handy because I'd love to get a couple of cool action movies under my belt. I love Tom Cruise and I love that he does it all himself. I would hang out of a helicopter. Absolutely."
Fortunately, Francesca Eastwood managed to land the role in the 2016 movie Outlaws and Angels, showing that she has bags of talent and potential, proving that she does not need to use her fathers legacy to land her own acting roles.
