There has been a lot of news surrounding Dermot O’Leary recently with The X Factor host being tipped to replace Steve Jones as the host of The X Factor USA. Dermot has previously stated that he would not be interested in taking that job and he has once again reiterated that point. Dermot also discussed the new judges for The X Factor and whether he will be returning to host the show.
O’Leary explained, “I want to do it but we’ve got a wedding to plan. Of course I want to do it but we’ve been on the rollercoaster before so we don’t really stress about it too much. I love doing that gig, I feel as if it’s my gig but we’ll see.” He then went on to talk about the possibility of hosting The X Factor USA.
Dermot added, “I don’t know but to be honest with you, it’ll take a lot to drag me from the one in England. I love it here” O’Leary finally went on to reveal that he had absolutely no idea who the new judges were going to be and admitted that he would not be surprised if we did not find out until a day before filming.
He continued, “As you’re well aware, there’s a good few months before we start filming and it’d be remiss of The X Factor to make any decisions until the day before.” So far it seems that Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh could all be set to return. However, Kelly Rowland appears to have decided not to come back for another season.
