Hollywood actor Jason Momoa has been working in the acting industry for quite a long time now but it was not until he landed the role of Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones that people actually really began to talk about the actor. However, Jason has admitted that he struggled to land any big roles in Hollywood after he left Game of Thrones, due to the fact that there were many people in the industry who did not actually realise that he spoke English.

Momoa shared, "Yeah, not a lot of people thought I spoke English. It was very challenging. It was like, 'What are you going to do with Drogo? You're not going to put him in a comedy.' You're pigeonholed a little bit. Actually, the first person who really made me [realize this]- I guess I was bummed out a bit, was your buddy Fred, Fed Armisen. I met him [because] my step-daughter Zoe did Portlandia. He was so excited to meet me. He was amazing. And he was like, 'I didn't even know you spoke English.' It was heartbreaking. That's why I'm not getting any jobs."
As well as talking about his struggle to land any real meaningful roles in Hollywood following his very popular portrayal as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, Jason Momoa also went on to talk about how he landed the role of Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe. Jason says that he initially went in to audition for a role in a Batman project, believing it to be for the role of one of the main villains, before he realised that it was actually to play the role of Arthur Curry aka Aquaman in the DCEU.

Momoa added, "That whole audition process was pretty crazy. Zack was a huge fan of Game of Thrones. A lot of people are huge fans of Game of Thrones. And Zack was the one. I couldn't get a job [but] he called me in. It was funny because I had no idea who I was going to be playing. He just called me in to audition and it was for Batman but Ben was already cast so I'm like, 'What am I coming in for?' I thought I was going to be the bad guy and fight Batman and Superman, I'm going to be the villain. And he went, 'No. Aquaman.'"
Jason Momoa will next appear in the role of Arthur Curry aka Aquaman in the upcoming Aquaman movie, which we are hoping will bring us the Aquaman the fans want. Aquaman will hit the big screen on December 21.
