Jennifer Grey will always be best known for her role as Baby in the movie Dirty Dancing alongside the late Patrick Swayze. So it was only fitting that she would give her seal of approval over the hit 1987 movie being given a full reboot. There have also been rumours of a cameo for her.
Jennifer took to her official Twitter account to express her joy over the Dirty Dancing reboot. She said, “I love @Kennyortega and trust that he will do something special #DirtyDancingRemake.” She later added, “Blown away by all of the love expressed for #DirtyDancing. Makes me want to see it again. So grateful to have been a part of it.”
Lionsgate is set to reboot the Dirty Dancing movie under the helm of Kenny Ortega. Kenny was the original films choreographer and was delight to take the director’s chair for the reboot. Julia Dahl is currently penning the screenplay for the remake, which is expected to be complete sometime in 2013.
