Whenever we hear the name Mary Shelley, we all instantly think of Frankenstein, after all that is one of the biggest and best characters to ever be brought into existence, all thanks to the wonderful mind of Mary Shelley. While we could all retell the story of Frankenstein from the top of our heads, not many of us would be able to recall the life of Mary Shelley and what led her to that wonderful tale.

Well fortunately for those of us who do not really know anything about Mary Shelley, other than being the creator of Frankenstein, there is actually a movie being made about her life and the events which lead to her writing that classic tale. The movie is simply titled Mary Shelley and it will see the very talented Elle Fanning taking on the lead role, while Douglas Booth plays the role of Percy Shelley.
The movie will focus on the love affair which took place between the poet Percy Shelley, who fell for the 18-year-old Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, who would later marry and become Mary Shelley, before then going on to write Frankenstein. It really is a rather interesting love story and if you are a fan of Frankenstein then it is a movie that you will want to watch.

Elle Fanning and Douglas Booth are not the only impressive names involved in this movie, as Mary Shelley also includes such names as Maisie Williams, Tom Sturridge, and Ben Hardy, to name just a few. Mary Shelley has been directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour with the movie still waiting to receive an official release date.
