While it is probably fair to suggest that comic book movies are taking all the headlines, when it comes to Hollywood these days, it is also fair to say that the DC Extended Universe has done very little to get the comic book movie fans excited, with a string of poor movies being released. Meanwhile, there have been reports that the Justice League movie is a mess right now, which does not give us much hope for the future of the DC Extended Universe.
Fortunately though, it seems that there is a very unlikely saviour for the DC Extended Universe, which comes in the form of Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson, who is set to play the role of Black Adam. Dwayne has been talking about a recent meeting he had with the DC execs, claiming that there is a change coming and that the DC fans are finally going to get the movies they want and deserve.
Johnson took to his official social media accounts, to tell his fans and followers, "Had a very cool and strategic meeting with the heads of DC about their entire universe. As a hard core DC fan, to get a real sense of the tonal shifts and developments coming in these future movies has me fired up."
It continued, "Something we, as DC fans have all been waiting for for a very long time. Hope, optimism & FUN. Even when talking about the the most ruthless villain/anti-hero of all time finally coming to life. Prepare yourselves DC Universe. #KneelAtHisFeet #OrGetCrushedByHisBoot #BlackAdam⚡️."
We just hope that this actually happens, as something seriously needs to change to make the DCEU a success.
