Ed Harris is best known for his prolific work in television and film roles, but he actually has his roots in theater. After most recently starring in 'Pain and Gain' and the upcoming 'Snowpiercer', Ed will be returning to the stage alongside Bill Pullman in 'The Jacksonian'.

The play will actually be directed by Tony winner Robert Falls, and will take place in Mississippi in 1964. According to a synopsis provided by EW, "When his wife kicks him out, respectable dentist Bill Perch (Ed Harris) moves into the seedy Jacksonian Motel. There, his downward spiral is punctuated by encounters with his teenage daughter, a gold-digging motel employee (Glenne Headly), a treacherous bartender (Bill Pullman), and his now estranged wife (Amy Madigan). Set against the investigation of a recent lynching and climaxing in a crime of passion, The Jacksonian, brimming with suspense and dark humor, unearths the eerie tensions and madness in a town poisoned by racism.”
The play premiered last year in LA, and it will be returning to New York with the same cast. The play, while getting criticized for being 'uneven', has been universally praised for the performances from the cast.
