There were a lot of issues with the Ant-Man movie over the years but Edgar Wright worked hard for many years, trying to get his vision of the character brought to the big screen and was almost there, before things fell apart. It is believed that Edgar's vision of Ant-Man did not fit in with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so Edgar decided to leave the project, with the movie now directed by Peyton Reed.

The Ant-Man movie has been moving on with life post Edgar Wright and it was recently announced that the movie had completed shooting but we have not heard a great deal about what Edgar has planned for the future. Abrams announced that he would not be returning to direct Star Trek 3, due to his commitments to directing Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, it was announced that Roberto Orci would be taking over directing duties.
