American actress Edie Falco is well known for her starring role in the hit television series Nurse Jackie (2009-13) as Jackie Peyton, a drug addicted nurse who is trying to balance the heavy demands of her job at a New York City hospital and the many personal issues that arise in this hilarious comedy drama. Her popularity was already established in the role of Carmela Soprano in the earlier long running hit series The Sopranos (1999-2007).
