Napoli striker Edinson Cavani is close to joining Manchester City, according to reports. R. Madrid also want the player. The transfer fee is rumored to be around £60 million, while the overall costs of a five-year deal would exceed the figure of £100 million - which includes a £8 million per year contract.

Cavani scored 36 goals in Serie A this season
Chelsea have reportedly taken Cavani off their wish list because of the high transfer fee. It is also unknown if soon-to-be new Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has other wishes regarding signing a striker.
Paris Saint-Germain are also rumored to be interested in the player as they now have the funds to compete with the richest clubs in Europe. The reported £100 million deal shouldn't be a problem for the Qatar-backed club.

Manchester City are still looking for a new manager
The Uruguayian scored 36 goals in 41 appearances for Napoli in Serie A this season. City is also hoping they can include out of favor Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko in the deal. Napoli wouldn't mind getting a striker like Dzeko + money in return for their South American goal machine.
Malaga coach Manuel Pelegrini, who will take over City sooner rather than later, has voiced his pleasure with signing Cavani who he sees as a major part of his new City team next season.
