They often say that talent runs in the family and, on a lot of different occasions, we have seen many members of the same family going on to make a name for themselves. That is certainly the case for the Fanning family, who have seen their daughter Dakota Fanning become a Hollywood star with her younger sister Elle Fanning following in her footsteps.

Elle Fanning has been enjoying her own success in the past few years, putting in impressive performances in the likes of Super 8 and We Bought a Zoo, while she will next appear alongside Angelins Jolie in the upcoming movie Maleficent. Some new pictures from Maleficent have been released, including one which shows the infamous spindle prick scene.
For those of you unfamiliar with Maleficent, the official synopsis for the movie is as follows: "A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora (Fanning)."
Maleficent opens in May
As well as starring Elle Fanning and Angelina Jolie, the Maleficent cast also includes Juno Temple, Hannah New, Sharlto Copley, Brenton Thwaites and Peter Capaldi. Maleficent is directed by Robert Stromberg and will hit the big screen on May 30 in both the US and the UK.
