It is amazing what appearing on a hit television series can do for your acting career, with some unknown stars landing the role of a lifetime, going on to become one of the most recognisable faces on the planet. That is exactly what has happened for a number of the relatively unknown stars who appeared in the debut season of Game of Thrones, with actress Emilia Clarke leading the way.
Since landing the role of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke has gone on to become a household name, with millions of admirers around the world. Now, Emilia has taken her fame to new heights, as she bares all on the cover of Esquire magazine, who have named the stunning actress their Sexiest Woman Alive, and it is easy to see why.
Lisa Hintelmann, the Esquire editorial projects director, explained the decision to The Associated Press, saying, "Something in these contrasts explains her sex appeal, too. She can play queen and kid sister, dominatrix and pal. [She] is unforgettable in Game of Thrones and was hands down the number one choice of Esquire’s staff, friends and family." We can't argue with her there.
Those of you who have enjoyed watching Emilia Clarke playing Daenerys Targaren in Game of Thrones, and cannot wait to see her back in the role, do not have too much longer to wait, as the countdown to the Game of Thrones season six premiere gets ever closer. While there is no official premiere date as of yet, it is likely that it will air on HBO in some time in April 2016.
