Television prequels seem to be fast becoming all the rage at the moment and, since the Entourage movie does not seem to be making any real progress, television executives have decided to push ahead with a new plan for the Entourage franchise.

It is being planned for an Entourage prequel to be made, much like the recent Sex and the City prequel, which is currently being filmed. As with the Sex and the City prequel, the Entourage prequel will go back to the younger years of the guys in the show.
The, currently untitled, Entourage prequel will follow Vincent Chase, Eric Murphy, Johnny ‘Drama’ Chase and Turtle during their childhood years in Queens, New York. The show will follow the boys up until the stage where Vincent Chase makes it as an actor.

As of yet there is no cast attached to the Entourage prequel but casting is expected to take place in the next few months, with filming planned for this summer and the show to air late this year. Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara and Kevin Dillon have all been offered cameo roles for the series, as has Jeremy Piven.
