We are just a few short weeks away from finally getting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on the big screen and, while we thought we knew pretty much all of the big names who were going to appear in the movie, it seems that there is a new name on the cast list, who we actually had no idea was going to be in the film.

It was confirmed over the weekend, that The Walking Dead actress Lauren Cohan will appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, taking on the role of Martha Wayne, much to the disappointment of most of the fans of the franchise. While we were all delighted to hear that Lauren was going to appear in the movie, the fact that she will only be in the movie for a short amount of time appears to be the problem.
One disgruntled fan moaned, "Seriously? Lauren Cohan only gets to play Martha Wayne? So we'll get what, 30secs of her on screen. Sucks big time. She deserves so much better than that!" Meanwhile, another fan added, "When I heard Lauren Cohan was in BvS, I had hoped she would be Batgirl or Catwoman or at least someone we could enjoy in other DC movies. I guess Martha Wayne is gonna have to do :( ."

We have to admit that we were also quite surprised that Lauren Cohan will only be playing Martha Wayne, as we feel that she could give a good performance in a more important role in the DC universe. With that said, we are pleased that she is going to be in the movie at all.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will open on March 25 in both the US and the UK.
