Fatboy Slim will appear at this year's Bestival, along with some other impressive acts, such as Elton John and Snoop Dogg. Now, Fatboy Slim star Norman Cook has spoken about his fellow Bestival acts, reminiscing about a gig in Ibiza with Elton and admitting that Snoop Dogg confuses him.
Cook said of Elton John, "Elton actually opened for me in Ibiza last year! No, I played a show with Elton in Ibiza last year, and he's a great sport. To play to the Ibiza crowd - it was like me, and Steve Angello and then Elton slammed in the middle - but he's great, he just went on with his piano, no band, and rocked the Ibiza crowd with just a piano. He was really scared of playing to that young an audience, but I think he's kind of got a taste for it. He knows what he's doing! He's a seasoned old pro."
He then spoke about Snoop Dogg, saying that he struggles to ever understand what the rapper is going on about, "Snoop... I met very briefly once, he didn't make a lot of sense, and makes even less sense now he's been reincarnated [as Snoop Lion]."
Fatboy Slim will headline at this year's Bestival on Friday, September 6, performing an exclusive set titled 'Fatboy Slim's Bestival Birthday Bash' to mark the festival's 10th anniversary. Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg will headline on the Saturday, while Elton John will close this year's Bestival on the Sunday.
