The X Factor, Kim Kardashian, Marmite, what do these three things all have in common? Well they are all things that you either love or you hate. Over the past decade or so, The X Factor has brought us some very talented and successful stars, who have gone on to take the music scene by storm, while the show has also brought us some talented people who have failed to make a success of their music career.
Across the many seasons of The X Factor that we have had over the years, one of our favourite contestants of all time would have to be the very unique and impressive Janet Devlin. This Irish beauty brought something different to the show and, when the season was over, she took a bit of a different path to most, by doing her own music in her own style and not signing to a record label who would tell her what to do.
Yes, it is fair to say that Janet Devlin has not become the biggest name on the music scene but she has been working consistently since then and it now looks like this talented star is going to try her hand at the acting game. Janet is preparing to make her acting debut in the new short film Songbird, which has been described as, "A shy young singer has to go on a journey to retrieve her stolen voice from a witch."
We were big fans of Janet Devlin when she was on The X Factor and we have enjoyed what she has done with her music career to date, so we cannot wait to see what the acting career of Janet will give us in the coming years.
