When it was announced that Warner Bros. and DC were finally getting their act together and bringing us the favourite comic book characters who we have loved for so long, we were delighted and excited about the prospect of an incredible DC Extended Universe, after all, what could be better than getting to see the Justice League taking shape on the big screen?

With the announcement that Wonder Woman was finally going to come to the big screen, fans were quick to suggest actresses who would be perfect for the role of Diana Prince, with a lot of stars seeming to be in the running. However, when it was confirmed that Gal Gadot had been cast as Wonder Woman, there were a lot of disappointed people all over the world.

It was not just the fans who were disappointed with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, as director Patty Jenkins previously confirmed that she was not excited by the casting choice either and would rather have chosen her own leading lady. So, it was always going to be hard for Gal to get any recognition in her role as Wonder Woman but that was not going to stop her giving it her all.
Since then, Gal Gadot has gone on to win over pretty much everyone with her performance as Wonder Woman, easily being the best thing about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as giving us a fantastic performance in the Wonder Woman movie, and again impressing in the Justice League film. Gal has now made the Wonder Woman role her own and we would find it hard to imagine anyone else in the role now.
