The modelling industry has come a very long way over the years and is now one of the biggest and most powerful business on the planet, with these new age models showing that they are so much more than just a pretty face and a hot body. Just take the beautiful Gigi Hadid, for example. Gigi has been talking about how lucky she feels to be a model in this day and age, since the models today get to feel so much more empowered.
Hadid features in the UK edition of Vogue magazine, where in the accompanying interview she told them, "What's really great about being a model right now, is that there's so much inspiration and good intent behind the collections. The designers do a really good job of making us feel very empowered in being a part of that runway."
She added, "Especially this season, I've been really excited because all the girls take on the power that the designers have given us and that's been really fun.I try to give the creative team what they want and get into the mindset. I feel like once you understand the story behind a collection, it's a lot easier to model the clothes."
We have loved seeing Gigi Hadid come through on the modelling scene over the past few years and we believe she has all the attributes required to take over the modelling industry. Gigi has already worked with many of the big names in the modelling industry and we believe she is just going to continue to get bigger and better.
