When a TV series becomes hugely popular and successful, the hardcore fans of the show never want to see it end, but it is always that case that these top shows have to finish some time. The hiot series The X Files ran from 1993 until 2002, even giving us a couple of movies along the way and we are now preparing for a brand new season of the show.

Actress Gillian Anderson is back to reprise her role as Dana Scully, while actor David Duchovny is back as Fox Mulder and this time it seems like things were much more chilled out on set. Gillian has opened up about her history with David, admitting that the tension between the two was probably down to things out of their control.
Anderson explained, "I wondered this for a long time and I think part of it... we shot in Vancouver and it's very moist in Vancouver. I was gonna say that when my hair gets... very frizzy and so it takes forever, between every single take, we'd have to stand there and blow dry my hair again and things take a long time. I think it added to the tension that it took so f'ing long. Is that anything to do with it?"

The new season of The X Files is set to premier on Fox on Sunday, January 24 at 10ET/7PT. We cannot wait.
Do you think the new season of The X Files will live up to expectations?
