There has been a huge ongoing debate about racial discrimination in Hollywood for many years now and, while it does feel like things are beginning to move in the right direction, there does still seem like a long way to go. It has been argued that if you are a white male in Hollywood, then you have the easiest ride of anyone else in the business, with many stars still trying to fight for equality in Hollywood.

Actress Halle Berry has become one of the biggest and best actress in Hollywood, giving some standout performances in some top draw movies, which led to her winning the Best Actress Oscar for her role in the 2001 movie Monster's Ball. While this should have been a platform for more equality to come through in Hollywood, it actually did not seem to make too much of a difference, and Halle has now suggested that it was a wasted Oscar win.
Berry claimed, "That moment really meant nothing. It meant nothing. I thought it meant something but I think it meant nothing. It inspired me to get involved in other ways, which is why I want to start directing, I want to start producing more. I want to start being a part of making more opportunities for people of colour."

While we have already seen Halle Berry getting involved in the producing side of movies, we have yet to see her make her feature film directorial debut, although we have no doubt that it will not be too much longer before this does happen. We cannot wait to see just what type of movie project Halle will take on for her directorial debut but we are sure that she will do a fantastic job.
