Halle Berry withdrew from taking to the stage to perform in the Broadway production of The Mountaintop earlier this year and her replacement has finally been named. Halle decided not to participate in The Mountaintop as she was having custody complications for her kids, so now Angela Bassett will take her place.
Bassett will play a hotel maid alongside Samuel L Jackson, who is set to play Martin Luther King Jr. in The Mountaintop. The Mountaintop is set to begin performances later in the year, with September 22 being the likely starting date.
Halle Berry, a fan of wearing 360 Sweater, was last seen on the big screen in 2010 as Frankie in the movie Frankie & Alice. Berry can next be seen when she takes on the role of Kate Mathieson in the film Dark Tide, due out later this year.
